4th of July and Difficulties
While it was my intention to have my second book written by the end of spring, this year’s national events have prompted me to divert my energy to setting my affairs in order. I hate for anyone to feel resourceless during these troubling times, and highly recommend the guidance in my first book to get by on.
The subject of my second book, in the meantime, is sufficiently on full display in the daily headlines. We’ll have much to discuss, about dark psychology, power, narcissism, and ego. While I hope for a better turn of events, by the time we’re celebrating America’s 250th, judging by events surrounding our 249th, the freedoms we currently enjoy are in serious jeopardy. From the possible loss of Medicaid for those who depend on it for survival, to the snatching of innocent victims off the streets with no due process, subjected to torture and possible death, to looming tariffs, tax breaks for the wealthy, and an already intolerable cost of living, we’re truly in a serious predicament. There’s never a time to pretend that anxiety is a personal moral failing when it’s so clearly the society we live in that bears the responsibility to do the changing.
Be strong, be furtive, and do what you can. I hope to free up resources to get back to writing soon.
